(ABC 6 News) - The Rochester Police Department took advantage of it's Emergency Response Unit, commonly referred to as the SWAT team, as it executed a search warrant at a home on the 100 block of 7th Street NW.
Officials say they used the team due to safety concerns in regards to the suspect.
Inside, they say they found a small amount of heroin and that children inside the home at the time.
Officers arrested Eric Smith of Rochester. He's facing possible 3rd degree controlled substance charges along with child endangerment charges.
Smith was arrested earlier this year during another narcotics bust where 50 grams of heroin was recovered.
