(ABC 6 News) - A Rochester police officer got a little more than he bargained for after a routine traffic stops ended with the recovery of meth and an illegal gun.
The Rochester Police say the traffic stop took place near the 1100 block of 8th Avenue SE.
Police say they removed three people after seeing "suspicious activity" as they approached the vehicle. Inside of it, they say they found meth and a loaded gun.
The driver, Joshua Watson, and passenger, Holly Eaton, were both arrested.
Police say they found an additional 13 grams of meth on Eaton once they were at the police station.
Watson is facing 5th degree possession of a controlled substance.
Eaton is facing possible charges of 1st degree possession of a controlled substance and carrying a firearm without a permit.
