(ABC 6 NEWS) -- "(Sarah Holtz) is a coach's dream in a lot of ways," Lyle/Pacelli head coach Justin Morris said.

"You really have to put your heart on the line, by hustling and putting in the time," Holtz said.

That statement really sums up the Athletics sophomore.

"As we've gotten older, she's always had this insane drive to work hard," her older sister Annie Holtz said.

Even her teammate and older sister Annie admits that Sarah makes everyone better, with no exceptions.

"She pushes me more than I push her, I think," Annie said.

"If you come to our house in the summer, you'd see us playing basketball outside. We do one-on-one, and free throw competitions," Sarah said. "We're each other's best friend."

On Tuesday, the sophomore led the Athletics in scoring, dropping 16 points against Glenville-Emmons.

"She's freakishly athletic. She finishes around the basket. She can run the floor. The sky is the limit with her," Morris said.

Lyle/Pacelli will need Holtz to step up Thursday, when the ninth-ranked Athletics take on another state-ranked team in Class A - Blooming Prairie.

"It's really going to set the stage for the season, so it's a really important game to us, because we want to do well and we want to represent who we are and what we're about," Holtz said.
