FBI, Police Search for Suspects After Bank Robbery in Blaine, 1 Arrested

Several law enforcement agencies were searching for two or three suspects involved in a reported bank robbery in Blaine Friday night.

One person was taken into custody after the robbery at a TCF Bank location on the 300 block of County Road 10, according to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office. It happened around 6:30 p.m.

The sheriff’s Office was urging residents in the area to remain inside as they searcedh for suspects.

Investigators were searching by air, but weather late Friday forced the aerial search to be called off. Four K9s were on the ground searching for the suspects, the sheriff's office reported.

At this point it's unclear if the suspects are armed.

So far, no injuries have been reported.

No further details were available.

The search was eventually called off overnight Friday.

The FBI, Blaine, Coon Rapids, Spring Lake Park, Columbia Heights and Fridley police departments are involved in the search.
