(ABC 6 News) - Miss Minnesota was in Rochester Saturday night to crown the new Miss Rochester and new Miss Olmsted County.
Miss Minnesota, Rebecca Yeh, who placed 4th in the Miss America Pageant and won the talent portion, played several songs on her violin. But the real shining moment of the night was the crowning of the two winners.
Kate Wilsom won the Miss Rochester title and Emily Kallis won Miss Olmsted County.
"I'm so proud of each and every one of them," said Pageant Director Jillanye Baker. "I'm so estatic, not only as pageant director, but it was an honor to work with these girls and seeing how hard they worked and prepared themselves for being on this stage. It just makes me so proud."
Each winner recieved a $1,000 scholarship and advances to the Miss Minnesota Pageant in June. Our own Laura Lee was also one of Saturday night's judges.
