(ABC 6 News) -- The weather has caused a lot of troubles on the roads today.

This is video from the scene where a 3-car pile up happened on Highway 14 near Dodge Center.

According to the Sheriff, strong winds and zero visibility caused the accident.

There were no known injuries.

Tonight, the Dodge County Sheriff's Department has also issued a no travel warning in the county.

And those strong winds are continuing to be hazardous to roads across the area.

Dozens of cars went into ditches, and there were even reports of cars colliding with snow plows.

Emergency crews say they responded to an overwhelming number of calls.

According to Mike Dougherty of the MnDOT, this storm is different than other ones we've seen so far. He further goes to say, "This has been one where I think we've had higher winds. Other times where it's been snow coming down and we're workign with that. I'd say it's the visibility and the drifting so that's why we advise people just stay at home.

At 5:30, Sunday afternoon, MnDOT closed I-90 from Albert Lea all the way to the South Dakota border.

Governor Dayton has allowed the use of the National Guard Armories in Albert Lea and Olivia to serve as shelters to those who are stranded.

Sunday afternoon, a snow plow crashed into a car on Highway 63 on North Broadway in Rochester according to a MnDOT report.

In Floyd and Mitchell Counties in Iowa, plows were even pulled off the roads.
