(ABC 6 NEWS) -- "I am so happy for her. She's worked so hard for it, so I'm glad that she's done it," Blooming Prairie junior Madison Worke said.
Two weeks ago, Blooming Prairie center Taylor Hagen scored her 1000th career point.
"I knew what I had to do that night to get my 1000th, because I wanted to get it that night," Hagen said.
In the Awesome Blossoms very next game, last Tuesday, Hagen broke the school scoring record.
"It was great, because my teammates were so happy for me," Hagen said. "It was nice to celebrate it with them."
"The great part is we have (some of) the season left, and she's got a whole senior year to bury that record and continue getting better," Blooming Prairie head coach John Worke said.
Hagen has verbally committed to the University of Northern Iowa, which she says is a big relief.
"It takes a lot of pressure off, so I can just continue playing and do what I need to do," Hagen said.
"She's put a lot of time and energy into this sport, and it's nice for her to get rewarded, and it's nice for it to pay off for her and her family," John Worke said.
