(ABC 6 NEWS) -- Funeral services are set for a 5-year-old St. Ansgar boy who was hit by a car and killed over the weekend.
The Iowa State Patrol says Kuper Malmin was hit by a car Saturday in Osage. A 73-year-old woman was driving. Kuper was taken to the hospital in Osage where he was pronounced dead. The investigation is on-going.
Funeral services for Kuper will be on Wednesday, May 7 at 10 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar and one hour prior to service at the church.
According to his obituary, Kuper attended preschool at St. Ansgar Elementary School. Afternoons were spent with his dad at the family hardware store where he loved greeting people and showing them the minnows. Kuper liked playing outside, playing with Legos and trucks. When Kuper grew up he wanted to be a fireman like his daddy.
