(ABC 6 NEWS) -- As their numbers rise, so do the LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals expectations.
The Cards football team has 20 kids out this season, up from 15 a year ago, which gives them a chance to do things other teams take for granted.
"We can scrimmage and rotate more guys," Cards quarterback Jace Bunne said.
"Last year, we struggled to go full-on-full, because we just didn't have enough," Cards head coach Aaron Hungerholt said. "Coaches would try and jump in here and there, so hopefully we can do more offensively and defensively now that we can go 9-on-9."
L-O has also added a few things to the offense, including a zone blocking scheme.
Fans can see the changes when the Cards take the field against Houston August 22nd.
