Caleb Ostrander joined ABC 6 News as the weekend sports anchor and weekday reporter in October 2008. Prior to joining the ABC 6 News team, he was a fill-in sports anchor and reporter for KRCG-TV in Jefferson City, Missouri.
The journey that led Caleb to Minnesota began in St. Louis, Missouri. At the ripe-old age of two, he was often seen mirroring the movements of the St. Louis Cardinals catcher during televised games. He graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2004 with a degree in Communications, and shortly thereafter packed his bags for a quick jaunt down Interstate-70 to KRCG. During his time in the Missouri capital, he covered everything from local high school sports to the 2007 Missouri Tigers’ victory at the Cotton Bowl.
Caleb loves sports, but what he enjoys even more is getting other people to enjoy sports. If he’s not playing a game of pick-up basketball or football, he might be watching a few of his favorite teams - the St. Louis Cardinals and Denver Broncos chief among them. He loves to travel, spend time with family and friends, and watch any movie made by Kevin Smith.
