Drew Gordon did not hear his name announced during last night's NBA Draft.

All hope was not lost for the recent New Mexico graduate.

Gordon said on his Twitter account Thursday he accepted an invitation to attend the Dallas Maverick's summer camp on July 11 in Las Vegas.

The last time Gordon played in Las Vegas, he was surrounded by thousands of UNM fans celebrating the Lobos first Mountain West Conference Tournament championship since 2005.

He was crowned the tournament MVP, and led the Lobos into the NCAA Tournament where the team lost to Louisville in the second round.

On Thursday, he took walk alone after it was obvious he wasn't going to among the players drafted.

"It was heartbreaking to have this happen in front of all my best friends and family," he told the San Francisco Chronicle. "But at the same time, it was heartwarming. I'll never forget this night and all my supporters."

Darington Hobson was the last Lobo to be selected in the NBA Draft. In 2010, the Milwaukee Bucks took Hobson with the seventh pick in the 2nd round.
