Ray Charles and Etta James act just like other normal little puppies. When they play they paw at each other and sometimes growl.
But Etta and Ray are different - Ray is completely blind.
The five month old bumped into backyard obstacles and even knocked our camera on its side Thursday during our visit because he can't see.
Marie Privett, the Volunteer Foster Care Coordination for the Valencia County Animal Shelter, said Ray and Etta's mother died shortly after giving birth.
They said she was sick from overbreeding. She had a litter of 10 puppies. Six of them died.
The remaining four were nursed back to health at Petroglyph Animal Hospital in Albuquerque.
Now Privett is hoping that someone adopts the dogs together.
She really wants them to stay with each other saying Ray relies on Etta for assistance to sometimes get around. Privett also says Etta provides a sense of security for her blind brother.
"She looks out for him. It would be a real shame to separate the two," said Privett.
