The University of New Mexico men's basketball team was voted third in the MWC preseason poll released on Monday.
Here's the rankings as voted on by the coaches and media:
1.San Diego State
2.UNLV
3.New Mexico
4.Colorado State
5.Nevada
6.Wyoming
7.Fresno State
8.Boise State
9. Air Force
UNM's Kendall Williams was named to the preseason All-Mountain West team along with Deonte Burton (Nevada), Jamaal Franklin (SDSU), Chase Tapley (SDSU) and Mike Moser (UNLV).
On the women's side, San Diego State was voted #1. New Mexico was sixth. Here's the poll:

UNM's Caroline Durbin was voted onto the preseason All-Conference team as well.
