The American Red Cross delivered emergency drinking water to about 150 families on the Navajo Reservation on Wednesday night.

Officials say a well pump went out near the small village of Mountain View, leaving 150 families of the Navajo Nation Ramah Chapter House without water.

Emergency vehicles from the Red Cross in Albuquerque and Farmington delivered 180 cases of drinking water to families affected by the outage.

The water came from the regional warehouse in Albuquerque and from the Pepsi Bottling Company in Aztec.

The Red Cross will continue to monitor the situation.
