Rio Rancho police: Man stole entire donation box

Rio Rancho Police are asking the public to help them find a man who stole a “Toys For Tots Literacy Program” donation box from a UPS checkout counter.

The alleged theft happened at about 10 a.m. Thursday at the UPS store at 1308 Rio Rancho Blvd.

According to police, an unidentified man entered the UPS Store and feigned interest in products and services.

When the clerk stepped away momentarily, the man took the donation box. The box was thought to contain approximately $80 in small bills and coins.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his mid to late 30’s, clean cut with brown hair, standing between 5’05” and 5’09” tall.
