The man accused of shooting and killing a legislator's son in the South Valley last month has been indicted for first degree murder.
Jesse Chavez, 31, was arrested in October for shooting two people in a South Valley home during a botched robbery.
Police said Chavez shot Ralph Chavez, who died, and another man, who survived.
Chavez faces charges of first degree murder, aggravated burglary (with a deadly weapon) and attempted first degree murder.
He remains held at the Metro Detention Center on a $500,000 cash surety bond.
