The Albuquerque International Sunport has added new security measures after a city employee got into a secure area of the airport.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 told you about the security breach back in October.

A Sunport spokesperson said an employee got into the police evidence room at the airport with the help of another employee.

The evidence room has not been used since 2007, but there were still items inside.

The Sunport said it has added additional safeguards to keep similar incidents from happening again.

The employees were both reassigned to other departments pending the outcome of the investigation.
