ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A nationally known Latina journalist is scheduled to give the keynote speech for the University of New Mexico's fall commencement.
Maria Hinojosa is set to deliver the keynote address Friday evening at the Pit in Albuquerque. More than 2,000 students are expected to receive bachelor's and graduate degrees during the ceremony.
The Edward R. Murrow Award-winning Hinojosa recently launched the Futuro Media Group, a nonprofit media organization aimed at producing multimedia journalism.
He has won four Emmy Awards and is a former senior correspondent for a PBS news magazine. She worked for CNN's New York City bureau from 1997 to 2005.
