Santa Fe deputies seek several persons of interest in Christmas double homicide

Santa Fe County Deputies now say there is more than one person of interest in a Christmas Day double homicide just south of the city.

Deputies continue their search for the prime person of interest - Joe C. Rivera, 18 - and say he likely fled from the scene of the shooting with several unknown others in a car.

The shooting late Tuesday killed John Griego, 23, and Nicholas Baker, 29. Police said they were killed at about 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Valle Vista Court just south of the city limits.

It is believed that the shooting happened outside of a Christmas party in the neighborhood.

Rivera is 5'5" and weighs 148 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
