“This has done me in, just to look at him. I just want justice for Chico,” Ginny Buchfink said.

Buchfink said her 7-year-old Chihuahua Pekingese was mauled to death by a pit bull on New Year’s Day. She said she was on her porch with her dog, Chico, when an unleashed pit bull and his owner were walking down the street. The pit bull snapped and ran to Chico, rolling him across the yard and taking Chico’s head in his mouth, clamping down until he died.

“I saw it happen in the blink of an eye,” Buchfink said. “If that would have been a child, with me on the step, it’d be gone, and I just want people to know how dangerous and fast these dogs are.”

Buchfink said she is not trying to get the owner in trouble, and doesn’t think it was necessarily a bad dog. She just feels that something needs to be done. She and a friend have posted flyers around her neighborhood asking if anyone knows anything.

The flyers read:

We need help finding a vicious pitbull dog.

This pitbull attacked Chico (a little dog) sitting on the porch with its lady owner right beside him.

The pitbull is mostly black with some white.

The owner walking the pitbull without a leash is approx

late teens to mid 20's, tall and skinny, dark short curly hair.

This happened in the 500 block of Hickory in Clovis on new years eve at about 9:30 in the morning, owner heading north on Hickory.

The careless owner could not get his vicious pitbull off of Chico until his head was crushed and dead.

We need to get this VICIOUS PITBULL AND CARELESS OWNER OFF OF OUR STREETS, what if this was a little child.

Someone has to know where this dog and owner lives.
