ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Some public facilities in New Mexico are opening later than usual Tuesday because of winter weather conditions that include freezing temperatures and poor driving conditions.
Albuquerque Public Schools and the University of New Mexico are on a two-hour delay, and hundreds of other closings or delays have been reported to KOB TV.
The Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court says the Metropolitan Courthouse in Albuquerque will not open until 9:30 am. Court proceedings scheduled between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. will be heard at 10 a.m., and jurors are to report at that time.
Court sessions scheduled after 10 a.m. will keep their scheduled times. Rio Rancho says its municipal government offices and facilities will open at 10 a.m., a two-hour delay.
