New Mexico is getting noticed for its school breakfast program.

State law requires low-income elementary schools to serve breakfast.

The Food Research and Action Center released a report showing how many students received free breakfast.

During the 2011-2012 school year about 70-percent of low-income students who got free lunch also got free breakfast.

That's a rise from 64-percent the year before.
