In the wake of a deadly elementary school shooting last December in Connecticut, a New Mexico lawmaker has introduced a bill allowing schools to designate one of their workers to bring a loaded, concealed handgun on campus if the individual is licensed to carry the weapon.
A number of states, including Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Georgia, Indiana, Wyoming and Kansas are also looking into allowing concealed, licensed gun carriers on school campuses.
