ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Parts of northern New Mexico are under a winter weather warning until early Sunday.
The National Weather Service says that the state's northern mountains could see significant wet snowfall through Saturday evening.
The San Juan, Jemez and Sangre de Cristo mountains could see from eight to 12 inches of snow with the heaviest snowfall hitting summits and western slopes.
Officials warn that some roads in Rio Arriba County may be forced to close Saturday afternoon due to difficult driving conditions.
Severe winter conditions may make driving dangerous on other northern New Mexico roads.
