KOB has learned that prominent Albuquerque businesswoman Gertrude Zachary has died at age 75.
She died Tuesday after an extended illness.
Zachary manufactured jewelry in Downtown Albuquerque and opened a number of stores throughout the city.
Zachary, a native of Germany, was also known for building a castle in the middle of Downtown Albuquerque.
