ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A Raton doctor has been sentenced to a year and half in prison for trafficking prescription drugs.
U.S. Attorney Ken Gonzales says a federal judge in Albuquerque on Tuesday sentenced Christopher Aragon, who was a physician at the Family Practice Clinic in Raton, for his conviction on five charges of illegally obtaining and distributing prescription drugs.
The 48-year-old pleaded guilty to the charges in May, which stemmed from incidents involving painkillers and anti-anxiety medicine that was illegally prescribed in 2009 and 2010.
