SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - Three people suffered bumps and bruises when their helicopter made a hard landing in northern New Mexico's Jemez Mountains.
Department of Public Safety spokesman Tony Lynn says an officer with the state Game and Fish Department, a veterinarian and the pilot were aboard when the helicopter began having engine trouble Monday morning.
Lynn says the craft, a Bell 206 JetRanger, rolled onto its side after the hard landing.
No major injuries were reported.
The Game and Fish Department was sending another helicopter to pick up the three.
Lynn says the Federal Aviation Administration plans to investigate.
