A bill that would bump Sunday alcohol sales from noon to 11 a.m. is making its way through the New Mexico legislature.
House Bill 423 passed the Business and Industry Committee.
Supports say the bill would help local business and boost tourism in the state.
Opponents said it would contribute to New Mexico’s DWI problem.
The bill now goes to the House Judiciary Committee. If it passes there it would be voted on by the full House.
