ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - The case of an Albuquerque police officer who was involved in a fatal crash has been turned over to the district attorney for review.
Bernalillo County Sheriff Dan Houston says his traffic investigators have completed an investigation into the Feb. 10 crash involving Albuquerque Police Sgt. Adam Casaus.
Houston did not release any details about the investigators' findings.
A spokeswoman with the district attorney's office confirmed Thursday that the case was under review.
Casaus had said he was trying to track down a drunk driver before he slammed into another vehicle, killing passenger Ashley Browder and seriously injuring the driver.
Records show that no dispatchers told Casaus to look out for a drunk driver before the crash.
Dispatch records obtained by various media outlets showed Casaus logged off his last call almost four hours before the crash.
