Multiple fire agencies anticipate to be out all night battling a fire on the west side of the Sandia Mountains.
City, county and federal fire crews are in the Sandia foothills near Hugh Graham and Camino De La Sierra, just east of Tramway Boulevard, said Karen Takai with the U.S. Forest Service.
At 9:30 p.m. the fire was reported to be roughly 30 percent contained.
Fire officials say the terrain will keep crews working throughout the night.
Flames and smoke are visible, and the public is requested to not call 911 as crews are already on the scene.
“It’s a small fire,” Takai said.
