Police say Mark Twain Elementary was locked down Tuesday while police investigated reports that shots were fired at people nearby.

Both the lockdown and shelter-in place at the school at 6316 Constitution NE has now been lifted.

Albuquerque police tell us that some people reported being shot at on Arizona, which is nearby the school.

Police found shell casings but were unable to find anyone who had actually been shot.

Police tell KOB that a vehicle that was hit by bullets was found in the 1400 block of Arizona NE.
