Authorities tell us all inmates at the privately-run Cibola County Correctional Center are back in their housing units after holding a peaceful protest Wednesday.
The inmates, who had defied guard’s orders and were amassed outside in the prison’s recreation yard, went back into the minimum security prison at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The uprising started Wednesday at around 10 a.m.
Prison authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
