Hundreds of college students took over CNM Friday for a bit of competition.

The students competed in the skills they'll need to succeed in the workforce.

Their skills were tested in fields such as carpentry, welding and culinary arts.

And, real world professionals were on hand to give out the scores.

"It was a blast,” competitor Jason Stanley said. “It was a good competition we had a lot of good competitors, but overall I think I did okay."

67 CNM students competed.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 is told gold medal winners will advance to the national championships in Kansas City in June.
