GRANTS, N.M. (AP) - A driver killed in a multi-vehicle crash linked to road rage in northwestern New Mexico has been identified as an Albuquerque man.
New Mexico State Police say 48-year-old Kenneth Griego was killed in the crash Sunday on Interstate 40 near Grants in Cibola County.
State Police say Griego was ejected from his vehicle when it crossed the median and collided head-on with a van driven by 42-year-old Paul Nolan of Paradise, Calif.
According to State Police, Griego lost control of his vehicle when it rammed a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Bradley Garman of McHenry, Ill.
According to the Gallup Independent, State Police Sgt. Emmanuel Gutierrez says it appears that road rage, aggressive driving and Griego being under the influence of alcohol all contributed to the crash.
