FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) - FBI agents have executed a search warrant at the headquarters of Navajo Agricultural Products Industry near Farmington.
The tribal farm enterprise's chief executive says the warrant relates to a sealed case and it's not possible to tell what the FBI is concerned about.
Tsosie Lewis adds that NAPI management gave material demanded by FBI agents and all the documents have been transferred to them.
Lewis told The Farmington Daily Times (http://bit.ly/XH0Scy) that an FBI agent assured him NAPI would remain open.
It's unclear who the investigation is targeting and FBI officials didn't immediately return calls seeking comment Wednesday.
NAPI is a sprawling agribusiness entity south of Farmington that produces corn, soybeans and other crops for an increasingly large market.
The farm agency markets its products under the Navajo Pride label.
