ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Some families who live near the Bear Canyon arroyo in Albuquerque got a scare when a gust of wind caused a campfire to start a brush fire.
The Fire Department says an engine company responding to 911 calls found residents of the neighborhood putting out the fire which had spread to roughly a half-acre of grass and brush late Thursday.
According to the Fire Department, children playing with a campfire called their parents as soon as the fire spread.
No injuries or damage to structures were reported. (Copyright 2013 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.)
