Hundreds of people in Albuquerque participated in a 5K run for Boston that raised thousands of dollars.
The race started near the National Hispanic Cultural Center.
More than 700 runners hit the pavement and more than $30,000 was raised to support Boston first responders.
Organizers hope to continue to raise money, the goal being $47,000 from the 47th state in the union.
Some of the runners today participated in the Boston Marathon two weeks ago.
Despite the bombing attacks, the runners vowed the tragedy wouldn’t stop them from doing what they love.
