A Shiprock hospital is on lockdown Friday after a shooting victim arrives at it along with a threat.

Officials at Northern Navajo Medical Center tells KOB Eyewitness News 4 that a man was shot near Sheep Springs area of NM on the Navajo Nation.

A short time later the hospital got a phone threat they believe is related to the shooting victim.

As a precaution, the hospital was locked down and security was increased.

It is unknown how long the lockdown will last, but the hospital is still open to emergencies.
