The City of Albuquerque’s Open Space Division held a composting class for the public on Saturday.
Composting can reduce your water and solid waste bills, reduce your septic tank load and turn your food scraps into a resource.
Organizers were met with a full class of people Saturday.
“It's very popular. It's overflowing. We only had about 10 people signed up but a lot of people learned about it and came in anyway”, said Kim Selving of the Open Space Division
People can always come to their location and learn about composting on-site.
The Open Space area is located at 6500 Coors between Montano and Paseo.
