School may be out, but hunger is still in session for children receiving school subsidized meals across New Mexico.

To provide these kids with the nourishment they need, the Roadrunner Food Bank's Mobile Food Pantry is providing eight new distribution sites during the summer.

About 500 families will receive nearly 50 pounds of food at each of the school sites in Albuquerque and Las Cruces over the summer months, distributing a total of 148,800 pounds of food.

Roadrunner food Bank has already identified the families in need for this program, but the public can call (505)-349-8841 for food assistance or visit www.rrfb.org for more information.
