Ronald Daniels Jr.
An Albuquerque man who broke records as a high school athlete is now in jail for a bizarre crime.
Ronald Daniels Jr. is accused of walking into a home that was left unlocked and taking a bath.
According to a criminal complaint, a woman and her daughters returned to their home near Wyoming and Alameda to find Daniels half-naked in their tub.
The woman says Daniels asked her not to call the police and offered her money then led the scene. Daniels was subsequently arrested.
Police say Daniels told them he felt comfortable in the home.
Daniels was a football standout at La Cueva high school, racking up state records for touchdowns, rushing yards and points scored.
He played one season at Texas Tech before he was kicked off the team for violating team rules.
Daniels signed with San Diego State in February then decided to quit football altogether.
Daniels is being charged with burglary.
