Ryan Begay, 19, and Sabra Montoya, 19, were arrested in connection to the shooting of a child.
ALBUQUERQUE -- Two suspects wanted in the shooting of a 2-year-old girl have turned themselves in.
Ryan Begay, 19, is accused of firing shots at an apartment complex near Zuni and San Pablo streets on Wednesday. A stray bullet hit the child in the leg.
Begay and another suspect, 19-year-old Sabra Montoya, turned themselves in a day after the shooting.
They face charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and child abuse, among others.
Another woman, Samantha Montoya, was arrested the night of the shooting.
Albuquerque police said the child was expected to be OK and she was held at the University of New Mexico Hospital one night for observation.
