It's a day to celebrate the nation, but did you know July Fourth also happens to be the deadliest day for drivers?

According to an Allstate Insurance study, car crashes are the number one cause of deaths for people under 35.

On July Fourth, there are so many distractions when driving; from texting to talking, to looking up at fireworks. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety did a study and found that nationwide, 670 people were killed on July Fourth from 2007 to 2011. That's about 130 deaths a year.

When it comes to non-deadly accidents, there's one place where it seems to happen most.

"A lot of parking accidents, especially your picnic areas or lake areas," said Eladio Muniz with Allstate Insurance Co. in Albuquerque. "They go there and enjoy the weekend, especially this weekend. We have a four-day weekend coming up."

Teens account for more than 5 percent of driving deaths on July Fourth.
