If you are looking for a job, Roswell may be the place for you to find one. The airport is looking to hire 200 new employees, starting within the next few months.
Roswell's airport is home to nearly 200 commercial jets in storage.
"We can store these aircraft here better than anybody in the United States," said Dale Mullinax of Stewart Industries.
That's because low humidity here is ideal, but the airport has turned away other planes for storage. But that's about to change because within the next 45 days, the hanger will have a door that is big enough.
Stewart Industries, the maintenance company, recently got permission from the city to build a bigger door. Now, the airport is expecting more airlines to store their planes in Roswell, meaning more jobs and more money in the city's economy.
"We have numerous amounts of airplanes that want to come here, particularly after we get this certification. Because they can store their aircraft, we can maintain them, then we can work on them and put them back out for the public to use," Mullinax said. "This could bring in 2 or 3 million dollars a year easily."
