Wes Studi, an actor known for his roles in "Dances with Wolves" and "Avatar," was arrested on an aggravated DWI charge in Santa Fe early Friday.

Officers found Studi with two left tires blown out on Old Pecos Trail around 1 a.m. When police made contact with Studi, they said he showed "obvious signs" of intoxication, including slurred speech, problems walking, bloodshot eyes and the odor of alcohol on him.

During the interview, Studi told officers he had consumed a glass of Pinot Grigio about two or three hours ago. Police said Studi became combative and confused while talking to officers.

He refused to submit to a field sobriety, breath or blood alcohol tests, hence the aggravated charge.

On dash cam video released by police, Studi admits to drinking and driving. At one point he tells officers, "I was driving drunk? Hell Yeah! On the other hand what the F*** for? What the F*** for?"

He is charged with aggravated DWI and is being held at the Santa Fe County Jail on $3,000 bond.

Studi had a female passenger, 51, with him in the vehicle. She is the Volvo's owner. The female is not facing any charges at this time.
