KOB Eyewitness News 4 reached out to Governor Susana Martinez to get her reaction to Dona Ana County issuing same-sex marriage licenses.
She said it should be up to voters and not individual county clerks to decide.
"We need to put that out for them to vote so that there's one law that affects everyone within the state," Martinez said.
She also said her personal stance on the issue has not changed. She believes marriage should be between a man and a woman.
