A local teen needs your help as he prepares to undergo a more than 14 hour operation on Monday, August 26.

In May, KOB Eyewitness News 4 introduced Zak Lannon and his West Mesa High School football team, the Mustangs. Zak was diagnosed with a rare and deadly form of cancer: Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor. He's tackling cancer with community support and his own motto, "You never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have."

Zak has undergone several rounds of Chemotherapy. Now, he's having surgery in New York City to remove the tumors.

The owners of House of Football in Albuquerque are running interference. They're selling Zak's T-shirts and hoping to raise money to help the Lannon Family pay for Zak's treatment.

"They're just a good All American family who need help," owner Andy Hageman said. "Take 2 minutes out of your day and put on a shirt."

You can buy the shirts at House of Football or online.

Zak's family and House of Football are asking that everyone wear the tees on Monday, August 26 to support Zak while he undergoes surgery.
