Bernalillo County could be next to issue same sex marriage licenses

Bernalillo County could become the next county to start issuing marriage licenses to same sex couples.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 has confirmed that the Bernalillo County Clerk has printed 1,000 licenses to get ready.

A spokesperson for County Clerk Maggie Toulouse Oliver told KOB on Sunday, that she wanted to be prepared in case a court order came down.

On Wednesday, Dona Ana’s county clerk issued marriage licenses to same sex couples.

Shortly after, Santa Fe County was ordered to do the same.

There is a court hearing for the issue in Bernalillo County on Monday.
