A New Mexico congresswoman is asking for feedback before she casts her vote on possible U.S. military action against Syria.
U.S. Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham, D-N.M., launched a survey on her website asking for constituents to share their thoughts and comments on the situation in Syria.
Last weekend, President Barack Obama announced he would seek congressional approval to launch a military strike in Syria. The administration accuses the Syrian government of killing 1,400 civilians with a chemical weapon.
"The ongoing warfare in Syria, including the use of chemical weapons, is a very serious issue – one that we cannot take lightly," Rep. Lujan Grisham said. "I am reviewing all of the evidence and exploring our options. But before I consider the President's call for military action, I want to hear what the residents of New Mexico's 1st District think. I encourage all constituents to visit my website and share their thoughts."
Constituents can also contact Rep. Lujan Grisham's Albuquerque office at (505)-346-6781 with any questions or to receive help with a federal issue.
