The green flag is flying at Balloon Fiesta Park Field on Monday morning, giving balloon pilots approval to take to the skies for day three of Balloon Fiesta.
The first two days of the international festival took off without a hitch. Calm weather allowed thousands of visitors from around the world to see all of the events scheduled over the weekend, including the mass ascensions and Sunday night's balloon glow and fireworks show.
Flying competitions will be the highlight of Balloon Fiesta over the next couple of days. The games are designed to test the flying accuracy of the pilots, and feature Balloon Fiesta golf and a key grab contest. The first competition starts at 7 a.m. on Monday.
